Imphal, 1st March: Today, Congress MLAs, from Manipur in New Delhi, have communicated with Election Commission of India and the office of Governor, Manipur on the matter of disqualification of 12 Parliamentary Secretaries case. It is learnt that the case had already been cleared from the Election Commission of India, New Delhi and the communication had already been sent to the Governor ‘office for necessary action thereof in January, 2021.
Why is the Governor not disclosing and acting on the opinion of the Election Commission of India, as under Article 192 (2) of Constitution of India the Governor shall act on the opinion of the Election Commission of India on such disqualification matter?
